Follow Lauren to LA as she attempts to balance a demanding internship at Teen Vogue and a full course load with a demanding nightlife and a full social calendar. But at least she won’t have to do it alone. Along the way she meets several friends who expose her to a different part of the city, each chasing their own dreams. The Hills DVD tells the story of four young women on their own for the first time and the fun, laughter and drama that they all share. Audrina Patridge's official website biography states that she was cast in her role as a new friend for Lauren and Heidi, as she was approached by a producer to join the cast. During an appearance on Chelsea Lately, Chelsea Handler suggested that they improvised. Audrina stated, "If that's what you want to call it..." When pressed further in the hills dvd collection, she replied, "We're put in situations however we'd react and what comes up." She did state that there were no scripts, and Handler joked that "if it is a reality show" that the cast has really good actors. Audrina laughed and said, "Thank you...It is a big compliment."
